CacheCut is designed to respect your privacy completely. The short version: CacheCut collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
Data we collect
None. CacheCut does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage data, analytics, or diagnostics. There are no accounts and no sign-in.
Network use
CacheCut makes no network connections. It has no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Everything the app does happens entirely on your Mac.
Files and folders
To find caches, CacheCut asks your permission to read a folder you choose (typically your startup disk). This access is used only to locate and measure cache files on your Mac and to move selected caches to the Trash. CacheCut never copies, uploads, or shares the contents of any file. Your access grant stays on your device.
