EasyStills is designed to respect your privacy completely. The short version: EasyStills collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere.
Data we collect
None. EasyStills does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, usage data, analytics, or diagnostics. There are no accounts and no sign-in.
Network use
EasyStills makes no network connections. The app contains no networking code at all, so your footage and your exported images cannot leave your Mac. There is no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Everything the app does — reading the video, detecting shots, composing and exporting — happens entirely on your own computer.
Files and folders
EasyStills reads the video you open or drag in, and nothing else. If you choose a folder for exports, that permission is remembered between launches so you are not asked every time; nothing else in that folder is read. When you use Share, the image is written to a temporary folder inside the app’s own sandbox. EasyStills never copies, uploads, or shares the contents of any file on its own, and your access grants stay on your device.
Sharing
When you choose Share, macOS hands the image to the destination you pick — AirDrop, Messages, Mail, or Photos. That transfer is performed by macOS, not by EasyStills, and is covered by Apple’s privacy policy and that of any service you select.
